FELV+ tomcat (2 years old)

meow2me Jul 15, 2003 12:32 PM

Hi,

I have rescued a 2 year old tomcat that was part of a feral colony being evicted where I work. I found out he is FELV+, so I can not release him anywhere. I am looking for any advice, homes (foster or permanent) that anyone may have. I can not keep him myself because I am fostering some kittens and have 2 indoor-only cats that are not vaccinated. He is at the vets (being neutered) until Friday.

I would be grateful for any advice or help in placing him.

Thank you,

Hi Ellen,
I can't take the feral kitty but it may help if you post what state your located in. That way some one else may be able to help if they knew how close they were to this kitty.
Good luck.

Thanks, Jame. I forgot -- so distressed about all of this. I am in North Carolina but willing to travel...

Check out the following link for Angel Wings. I am not sure if they can help you, but they may know someone in your area who can.

You can post a free ad on petfinder.org, anyway, good luck with adopting this poor kitty.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I really do appreciate them! Just wanted to let you know that we placed Bruiser at Rikki's Refuge in Virginia this weekend. This place is about 5 hours from our home.

Several other people offered us help and we want to thank every one of them!
