15 stray kittens

ryan3890 Oct 21, 2004 09:54 PM

I was riding my bike today and came across an abandonded house. When i stopped to check it out I noticed about 15 kittens. I went back to my house and got wet cat food and went back and tried feeding them and some came over and after a few attempts I could pet some of them. Than i noticed that there was smaller kittens in a corner, sneazing and their eyes watering, so i took my jacket off and tried warming them up. I dont know what to do. I decided that i should search the year some more and came across a ditch. I looked in it and there was about 10 kittens (teeth, able to run) and one baby, eyes open but glossy, not teeth. Since I live in New Jersey and it starting to get cold, im worrying about the kittens lives. I plan to go check up on them tomorrow and i was wondering if i should take the ones i get and raise them back to health. (my father is a vet, but wanted a 2nd opinion) I need as much help as i can get so i can save their little lives.

I would catch as many as you can. Keep them in large dog crates if you have some. Try and contact a rescue if you need help.
Maybe even try and trap the mothers and see if your dad will alter them. Then if they are wild, find a farm or something you can release them on.
