Aggressive feral male?

dlynn Apr 16, 2006 10:23 AM

My family recently moved to a mountainous region out in the country with our 3 spayed female cats and have met some local feral males all of whom have gotten along with our girls except for one male. He has been fighting with our girls when he comes around (about once every 3 days) but in the last week, he´s been around each day and has tried to mate with two of them and when they fight back he´s clawed them severely in the hind quarters and in the face. I´m at a loss as to what to do, he´s gotten so bold as to come in the house with us there if he see´s one of the females.

Can anybody help?

It sounds like you need to contact a local humane society. Ask them if they have a program that helps to spay/neuter. Also you may want to look into relocation of the feral. Sometimes there are people who have barns that will take a feral to help reduce the mice population.
