watery eye?

mingdurga Mar 21, 2006 10:14 AM

My 2 yr. male has a watery eye (right eye only) in the mornings. It seems to dry up later in the day. I tried opthalmic neosporin several times but it always comes back. Treatment was once a day for 3 days.
Any idea what causes this?

Thanks,

Mike

Watery eyes are usually due to some type of irritation. This may be due to an upper respiratory infection, a scratch, a hair growing inwards, etc. Does the eye look red mornings? You might try using Similisan No.1 eyedrops for a week. If it continues, take the cat to your vet.
