my 9 month old Isabella has a swollen upper right lip, with a white mark - maybe a gash? i can't figure out what it is or where it came from. i rubbed some peroxide over her lip, and later that night she had diarhea, i'm guessing from that. any idea what this is?

After a quick trip to the vet, it's a rodent ulcer. My vet doesn't want to give her any steroids, unless it becomes more serious. Are there any holistic things I can do? thanks so much..as always

This is an autoimmune problem. First thing is, don't have her vaccinated anymore, as this is likely the cause of the problem. I have had good success treating cats with rodent ulcers with a constitutional homeopathic treatment. I suggest you find a homeopathic veterinarian to consult with.

I have her on 500mg of Lysine and Vitamin C. Is there anything else you normally would recommend? thanks again.
