spaying female cat?

mingdurga Jun 12, 2006 11:49 AM

My female was done years ago by the rescue group I adopted her from.
What exactly is a normal procedure anyway? I've read that some vets use staples instead of sutures. If I ever have control next time, what is the safest way to spay? Also does an overnight stay vs. taking her home same day matter?

Thank you,

Mike

While the essentials of a spay remain the same, everyone does it in a slightly different fashion. It is the end result that counts. Next time you go into the hospital for surgery, do you want to direct the surgeon as to how he should operate on you?
