Wondering....

Hi-

I took my two 15 week old kittens to the vet today. The vet found that they had cocidia. So I am treating them for that for a period of 3 weeks. The vet advised me to feed both kittens Eukanuba brand Low Residue Adult formula for the 3 weeks while I treat the cocidia. Now I would like to trust my vet, but somehow I think only feeding them dry food sounds bad. Would doing it for only 3 weeks be a problem? I don't like the fact that the vet wants me to feed them adult formula, since they are growing so quickly and should be on a kitten formula. Any thoughts of maybe something else to feed them? Also, I eventually want to switch them to an all wet food diet. What are some good brands? What should I look for in a good quality food? Thanks for the advice.

Cats should not get dry food, neither adult cats nor kittens. Feeding them cheap hamburger with bone meal or chicken with the bones would be much better. Both of these are low residue.
