OVERWEIGHT cat HUNGRY and ITCHES

marespooscats Sep 06, 2006 10:17 PM

My Siamese girl Kotton keeps gaining weight so I hardly give her any and she is so hungry when I feed my cats she gobbles hers up and attacks the other cats so she can eat theirs! She is ALWAYS hungry.

She is also Itching terribly and I do not see any signs of fleas. I do have my yard sprayed and she is on frontline and this month revolution.

What can I do to help her?

You don't say what you are feeding your cats, but from your description of what is happening, I would guess that it is dry food. No cat should get dry food; it is not good for them. Try feeding fresh raw chicken, bones included, with 1/2 tsp cod liver oil per day. Your cat will lose weight, not be as hungry, and will stop scratching.
