My daughter has a cat that has Cat Leukemia I was wondering if I pet the cat can my own cat get the virus? and will this cat have a long full life? She is a totally indoor cat now so that she doesn't infect other cats and so that she doesn't get an colds.

I am not sure if you are talking about FIV or Feline Leukemia. Cats become more resistant to Feline Leukemia as they age, and cats over a year of age almost never get Feline Leukemia whatever the circumstances. FIV is a different disease. FIV in cats is similar to HIV in humans, but they don't jump species lines. FIV is generally transmitted through cat fights, since it must be picked up through open wounds. If the 2 cats never come in contact there will be no disease transmission.
