When I place her in the cat box, she gets in the stance, but when she poops it's one small hard piece. What can I do to help soften her stool so she doesn't have so much trouble pooping?
Thanks for the replies.

You didn't say what you are feeding this 3-4 week old kitten. Don't feed her dry food, try to keep her with her mother, and if you are feeding her yourself, give her fatty hamburger, raw.
I'm feeding her Goat's milk, and I have tried some strained chicken (baby food). She doesn't eat too well, I think, because of this constipation. Today she's had about 15ml of Goat's milk and that's it. She has strained trying to poo today a couple of times. I saw it coming out, but yet it went back in. No poo today!
I know the Mother cat, she gave birth to these kittens around May 10-12, 2007. There are 2 other siblings in the litter. Both of them are larger than the kitty I'm taking care of. She's tiny. Mother doesn't sit long enough for this kit to get any milk, and she wanders around crying, so I took her in.
How can I get this kit to poo?
Thank you, thank you for the reply! I will keep the raw fatty hamburger meat in mind. Before I read your post, I had also read to try Mineral Oil, which I did last night. Guess what? IT WORKED! She took some grand poos (still solid, not mushy), and I can see she's feeling MUCH better.
Again, thank you so much for replying to my post!
