Fibrosarcoma 8 year old male DLH

jsulli Jul 12, 2007 08:23 PM

My kitty,Pumpkin, had a large Fibrosarcoma removed 3 weeks ago. The Oncologist said maybe try Radiation or even radical amputation. His bloodwork and x-rays of surrounding area,as well as lungs are normal. We have opted not to do Radiation or amputation. The surgeon was aggresive in the surgery and felt he was able to remove the cancer in its entirety. But, know it may return. Pumpkin is lethargic, which I can guess is from the surgery and many vet visits. What can we feed him (as well as my other adult cats) to help maintain a healthy immune system? What is your experience with Fibrosarcoma returning in cats ?
Thank you
jsulli

Fibrosarcomas are very difficult to completely remove surgically. Feed a fresh meat and bone diet, eliminating all carbohydrate, such as dry food. Also give a good immune stimulant; Agaricus blazeii or another mushroom or mushroom combination. Vitamin C and Vitamin K, in a 100:1 combination, will also help. If the tumor starts to return, you might try black escherotic salve directly on the area.
