My cats stool is smaller than normal

Gracies_Mommy Sep 02, 2007 01:52 AM

Hi - My cat is at least 13 years old (I got her as an adult) and she had started using the restroom on the basement floor. I recently cleaned the entire floor and got her a new litter box that is larger and she is now using her litter box again. Now tonight when I cleaned up her litter box I noticed that her stool was really small. I think I read somewhere that it could be a sign of some illness but I wasn't sure. I also thought it could be the changes that had been made. I thank you for your time.

If the cat is eating a highly digestible diet, which leaves little residue, the stool will be smaller. If you fed just raw meat with a little bone, it is likely to be even smaller.
