feline herpes - eye infection

pola Mar 02, 2009 12:07 PM

My one year old cat has what the eye vet specialist believes is herpes, since it flairs up about twice a year, and mainly when she is stressed.
Yesterday I brought home a new kitty her age, since my other cats are not nice to her, and her eye is starting to get smaller, so I know I have to start the drops for pain, and antibiotic ointment.
My vet homeopath prescribed a remedy once, but it did not help at all.
I have her on Lysine powder in her food also.
I hope the new kitty cannot get it from her, or by the time they can be put in the same room, hopefully she'll be over it. I am putting the new kitty on Lysine also.
Right now, they are separated by a door, but they still have contact. I'm sure they will get along, etc.. but I was hoping her eye would not flair up since she does not seem upset, but it looks like it is flairing up. Any other holistic advice ? I'm using Feliway plug ins, plus rescue remedy in the water and i intend to give her the homeopthic remedy the holistic vet prescribed a few months ago.
Thanks ! , Susan

Lysine helps reduce the symptoms of a Herpes infection. If the remedy your holistic vet gave you doesn't help, ask the vet for a Herpes Nosode, a homeopathic remedy made from the Herpes virus.Give it once a day.
