glandulars and deer antler

solaandlunasmom Mar 21, 2009 06:46 PM

Have you ever heard of giving glandulars and deer antler as a treatment for kidney problems? I had a consultation with a holistic vet yesterday in regards to my 13 year old cat's elevated BUN - which was at 40 - and due to the fact that one of his kidneys has shrunk and he recommended these.

Glandulars are fine, but I know nothing about deer antler. You might try giving some raw beef kidneys, chopped fine or pureed with an equal amount of water so that is a liquid.
