feeding question

kid Oct 14, 2003 06:40 PM

Hey
Just curious is there anything wrong with feeding my ball chicks or quail? rodentpro has them for good prices and I would rather feed these then rodents just because I really don't like them. If theres something wrong with these food items though I'll deal and get rats.

The problem with that is is that rats and mice are what balls would normally eat in the wild. Nutritionally, rats are 100% of what balls need. It's up to you, but I would DEFINITELY stick with rats.

Most captive ball pythongs won't even go for chicks or quails. I would stick to mice and rats as the primary diet. However, u can try offering a chick or two as a way to have more variety, that is if your snake goes fer it at all.

Rats provide more than mice. Rats seem to be the best way

They work for me, good luck!!
