Mom finally gotted a emeow from Aunty Joyce about what happened to Sammy Carlini. Here what she meowed.

she is still in the hospital with a knee problem (arthritis), a problem with her peg (feeding) tube, and getting over pneumonia.

Annie-Claire brakes down and sobs, holding tite to her dawterkits, Maddy and Simi. Mommy Norma is crying too (and messing up her trip make-up!).
Mommy understands the purrdicamint dey was in wiff Sammy, but it's still such a terribul shame. How's cum Unca Charlie was ok wiff Norton, Ralphie, and da 2 boys befur I wunner?

Mary:::I know this is very hard, Wiscats, but sometimes you are truly only allergic to one animal and others are okay. It makes absolutely no sense, but it happens. Remember the English Bulldog pup I had as a child? I was very allergic to him; broke out in hives every time I handled him. We've had other dogs both before and since. This hasn't happened with any of them. I have no explanation for it; that's just the way it worked.

Tinkerbell sends her warmest heart-healing GLOW for the CCarlini family and also to Annie-Claire and everyone who loved Sammy. This is a hard and terrible situation for the whole CCarlini family. We know that Aunty Lenore is heartbroken, and Uncle Charlie too.

In any case, we're sending GLOW and gentle, comforting headbonks to everyone who needs them.

I agree with everything that those before have meowed but it's just such a very sad situation all round. It's too bad there wasn't some other option other than having Sammy put to sleep. That seems like such a drastic and irreversible measure and too bad that it was made when Antee Lenore and Unca Charlie both were not well. Decisions made under those times always seem regretful later when one is once again feeling good. But it has been done and no use belaboring the point. What's done is done now.

I do know from my own personal experience that it is true that someone can be allergic to one pet/animal and not another as we have found out with long-hair cats. Mom-Joolie swears she is very allergic to me and yet Clover and those short-haired cats before us (Phoebe and Cookie, for example) have never given Mom-Joolie any trouble at all. But rest assured, I am here to stay ~ allergies or not. But we understand Unca Charlie's dilemma. We just wish that Sammy could have been placed in another home; that seems to us would have been the best scenario.

But RIP Sammy. I know you will not be forgotten and now what we must concentrate our glow on is for Antee Lenore to pull through this health crisis and be healthy once again.....
