We're glad to have mom home again. Dad's okay, but he just doesn't do stuff the same way as mom does and miss that. Anymeows, mom had a fun time visiting with our human grandma and aunties. The trip there was pretty stressful. They was tuck in stop and go traffic for 14 hours all the way there. Fairly close (fank goodness!!) to Omi's house, mom heard a pop sound from the metal monster and smelled gas. So when she pulled over to check it, gas was leaking out from under the car...a LOT. She made it to Omi's house cuz nothin' was open that late at night and was so thankful it sprang that leakso close to Omi's or they would have been stranded.
Next day they got the car to the shop.....seems the hose to the gas tank had popped off. While the car was being repaired, everyone had a great time being together and eating and having fun. Mom helped her sisfur make venison jerky...some for the humans and some for the furrykids. It a lot of work makin' that stuff and only the doggies really liked it...and most of the humans, but not mom. Then the prezzies came out and lots more food. Mom got to meet her new doggie brother...his name is Prince Phillipo and he a pomeranian mix....and her new doggie nephew who be named Chee. He's a tibetan/cocker spaniel mix. Mom said she wanted to bring them both home, but thank goodness she din't. I not ready to have a doggie in this house! Poor Ava got violently sick in the middle of the night....prolly too much godies and excitment. But she okey doke now.
So then next day it was time to make the trip backhome. As mom was filling the car with gas, she notice it leaking again, but this time from a different place. Back to the shop it goes. They check it all out and find no leaks no place. Mechanic says there is a rust place on the filler pipe and if mom had the nozzle in at a certain angle, it prolly leaked out there. So ok, back on the road. They get 9 miles away and the gas guage moves a whole lot like stuff is leaking again. So mom turns around and goes back to the shop AGAIN. Back up on the lift, checked it out and again, nothing. Mechaznic goes to the station with mom for gas and watches her fill it and no leaks no where. Take a 20 miles ride, still no leaks and everything under there is bone dry. Finally about 4pm, mom is back on the road on the way home. She were nervous the whole trip, but things seemed to be okay... although she stopped for gas every time the tank went down 1/4 from full just to be onna safe side. Her and the human girl and little va finally walkewd in the door at 2:30 in the am.
We all ran up and started and purring and rubbing and welcoming them home. Mom had a super time being with her family and is especially proud of her human sister for keeping that alcohol monster out of her life. She furry proud of herownself too cuz she drove the whole way there and back despite her nightime vision issues. Roads is better set up once you leave Mew Yawk.
Mom brought us home furry mice and catnip balls from Omi and our aunties. We sure are glad to have mom home now. We helping her recuperate.
