Reeding about da havoc at da vetdr office wiv toenail clipping, reminded da Lady of sumfin we hurd but had not tried out ourownselves, since we kits get our claws clipped naturally.
A furrend at a meeting was talking about having such a scuffle wiv deir kit, to clip claws, dat it took 2 people to do it, and much fighting, etc. Well, we know what she wuz talking about.
So, da college daughter came home furr a visit, while hurr Dad wuz away, and da Mom said, Good you can help me do ?Muffy's? claws. And daughter answered, what, you don't SCRUFF hurr?
So, what she iz talking about, she lurrned at vet college. Put da clippers where dey are easy to reach. Den dey take da kit by da scruff of its neck - like where da Momkit carries da babykit, and make da Kit stand on its back feet.
Dis causes da kit to extend hurr front paws and claws, like some hoomin saying, Like my manicure - noo shade of polish? And den the claws can be snipped. I don't fink efurry hoomin could do dis alone, but at least, it would be easier, if one held da kit and da ovver clipped.
Now, we don't need to clip claws, so we haven't tried dis at home. If you have, pweese let us know, furr da infurmation.
