i just got a card from sammy-whee telling me how generous my friends are, and that annie-claire received a response from "me" that was nasty, saying that sammy was sent to the bridge so our house wouldn't smell like cat. I am LIVID. I never saw that letter and Charlie & i never were even told about this. I'm tired so will post more tomorrow. love & miss you all X0X0X0

to continue...we sent sammy to the bridge because his attacks on charlie were getting more & more vicious. The person who wrote the phony letter from "me" does not approve of pets and was very critical abot cat hair andnanh litter odors and filed papers to have sammy destroyed as a vicious animal. We feel that we made the right deIsiim based on the right reasons and wenmiss him terribly.

We unnerstand and wufe youse. Get betterer soon and GLOWS still coming youse way.

Lenore, We haven't posted much lately (lurking) but can't just read your note without adding our voices to those who love you and know you could not have possibly made this decision without lots of thought and worry. Others are right; don't beat yourself up. Your "job" is to regain your strength and health. No one here has been in exactly your situation (thank goodness)but we all know you to be a most loving and caring "catmom" and individual who loved Sammy immensely. We each have had to make decisions we didn't want to at times and as humans who love furred friends, we empathize with your situation. Take care.

I gonna add 2 more cents and say, once again, no one is here to judge anyone; least of all you, Lenore. It's all in the past now anyway, so don't fret one more second about this. We all completely understand and more likely than not, would have done the same thing under the same circumstance.... so it's fine.

I don't know where this came from, but Annie-Claire and I did not receive a letter like that. The only thing we received from the vet where Sammy was being boarded was our check back with a short not saying, "this cat is deceased." We knew nothing else, but we did tell MCV about this. We never made any statements about a nasty letter or smelly house or ANYTHING like that. We simply told MCV that we received our check back and a not saying Sammy was deceased.
We miss you, dear Lenore. Annie-Claire is telling her girls, Madeleine-Louise (MaddyLou) and Simone-Mireille (Simi) about their wonderful daddykit.
