der was a nock at da door
mom rouz herself and go answer it (she has been sick all week)
and saw da SHERRIF car in da driveway.
she start wonnering WUT wuz going on, had sumwun complained about all da leefs on our lawn? abawt the ded car in our driveway? wut?
the officer luk at mom an say "Are you Sasha Furr?" Mom say "Yes, sir, I am."
He look very jovial, big grin, mom could not figure out wut was up.
He went back to hin car, open the back door
at which point mom think WUT is he bringing me? my friend's dogs? a long lost relative? some random animal sent by da vet?
he pulled out tew boxes and carry dem up on da porch
"then these are for you!" he said.
Mom stared. It was an order of dog treats she hav been waytin fur. She said "well, I know what it is, I've been expecting it, but why are YOU bringing it to me?"
he chuckled. 'let me explain.'
he pointed to da address, which was in fact not the correct address for usses. He said der was no such street, so it had been delivered to Curry St. Well, da resident at that haws was an ol lady who was rather paranoid. Dat poor laydee became convinced she be be accoozd of stealing so called da police. They luked up mom's name and fownd her real address.
Mom lauffed. 'those people do have my correct address, whoever made the label must have keyed it in wrong. I feel bad for the old lady. well, thank you!'
the officer seem furry amoosed by the whole ordeal.
Who wud ever think that the POLEES wud bring us dog treats??
mom did later verify that the correct address had been given to the sales rep.
