I was going through the web today and found where someone took a picture in mexico of an iguana that looks alot like this one and said it was C. Acanthura.
Now I'm wondering if the colony here in Miami is not C. Pectinata.
What do you think?

There is sure plenty of misinformation out there especially for ctenos. The other day I was watching Steve Irwin on TV as he caught what he said was a female spineytail with no species name given. It looked definatly like a male similis. He bit the sh!t out of Steves hand.

I saw that same show and told my wife it was a male, not a female. She just laughed and said I was pothetic for catching that mistake. That's what I get for marrying a non reptile freak.
The only thing that I learned from that show was how to get bit.
In my 17 years of collecting, I have never been bit by a Spinney tail except after seeing that show. I've had the
Sh@!%%*t bit out of me, twice in one week by two - 3 ft spinney Tails. Ouch!!!!
It could be that i'm getting old?....LOL
Thanks,
Manny
