Remember that other crested book I mentioned? Take a look on page 14 of the new Reptiles. It’s being written by Robbie Hamper in style of the leo manual. Anyway I was asked not to mention it but since it is published knowledge now figured I would point it out . Oh two more things, what’s the web addy for the company that supplies you the egg crate and have you ever gotten around to weighing your leachie? Thanks!

I saw the mock up of the book at Tinley Park...Eric T. said it was in pre-publish, and I can't remember the release date. What did you guys think of the new Rhac book by Allen/DeVosjoli?

Galen,
I have my copy on order and should get it early next week. I can't wait, do you have it yet? What do you think. I know monte said the pics alone were worth the price of the book.

I glanced over a copy at Tinley park that Paul from SFDR had on him. He said they were a little behind on a shipment and that they would be coming in later this week. It looks well put together and has some nice pic of a few screamers. I did not get a chance to read alot of the text, but I believe it is worth every penny.

I keep forgetting to bring a gram scale home from work. Maybe I should just bring the leachie to work with me, That would go over well...lol.

Thanks for the info on the book.

Steve,
I use the egg crate to increase surface area and create more hiding places in a cage.

I use it in place of any vertically-situated cage decor. Since I have a relatively large collection, I got tired of scraping feces off of cork bark in all of the enclosures. I just replace the egg crates when they become soiled. It saves a few hours a day in the gecko rooms. It may not look pretty, but it is definitely functional. I do use cork and branches in all of my adult enclosures.
