Tyre, N.Y. – High winds blew a tractor trailer off the road where it tipped over in a ditch on Route 89 in Seneca County Monday morning.

The driver, Nevin Horst, 21, of Romulus, was uninjured, but his tractor trailer was loaded with 550 pigs. Eight of them died.

Magee and Red Jacket Fire Departments helped at the scene.
