I knew this life was too good to last! Mommy dropped a bomb on me tonight. There's another cat coming to live here. She's trying to tell me that it's not going to be her cat, it's going to be Katie's, but I know Mommy, and sometimes she will let it come near her.
On the other paw, maybe Katie will stop trying to touch me when her own cat gets here. I do feel sorry for this cat. His people left him and 14 others in a house that the bank foreclosed. Mommy got a message from a friend that the cats were there and needed new homes by Thursday or they would probably get killed at a shelter. She talked Daddy into getting a cat that would like Katie. So they went there with Katie and she picked a cat that actually likes her. She is changing his name to Cuddles because he likes to be held and give hugs. That might be okay as long as it's not MY Mommy he's trying to hug. He's losing the fuzzy puffs tomorrow, and then Mommy and Katie will pick him up after Katie's Karate lesson tomorrow. Mommy says he's about a year old, and that he seems very calm. She doesn't think he will expect me to play with him, thank goodness. She told me she would like me to be friendly, but will settle for peaceful coexistence. I might be able to manage that if he does his cuddling with Katie and Daddy and leaves Mommy alone. Here's a picture of him. He looks almost exactly like my late sisfur Misty, but a lot bigger. Mommy thinks it's good that he's big so he can hold his own when I behave like the diva I was always born to be.
