Tinkerbell, that is. I mean, I know that the little girl, Katie, is my Mommy. The problem is, I'm a pretty big boycat, and she's a little girl whose arms aren't quite long enough to hold me comfortably, so I like to cuddle with GrandmaSharon, too. Well, every time I go near GrandmaSharon, Tinkerbell goes crazy and attacks me! She's so obnoxious that she won't even let me go near the couch if GrandmaSharon happens to be on it. I try watching for her to fall asleep, but MommyKatie put a collar with a bell on me, so the jingle wakes that cranky old cat up when I try to jump on the couch to give GrandmaSharon hugs. Then she starts with that horrible noise that starts out as a growl and ends with a mountain lion type shriek and attacks me. I'm a lover, not a fighter. No matter how hard I try, I can't get her to play with me. At least she ignores me as long as I stay by MommyKatie or GrandpaJim. Oh well, I guess I will have to just try to sneak up to GrandmaSharon more quietly so that the old crank doesn't hear me when she's napping.

I'm trying. I really am. I even give her a pounce every now and then to invite her to play with me. She never responds well to that though. About the only time we even come close to playing together is when somebody gets the red dot and I start chasing it, and then the old crank steals it from me and monopolizes it. She's scary! GrandpaJim thinks it's funny how she goes from MommySharon-loving marshmallow to outraged she-devil in .025 seconds. All it takes to make her switch is for her to take her eyes off MommySharon and look at anybody else. As soon as she looks at you, you can see her plotting to get rid of you!

Nobody's taking the bell off the "poor baby's" collar because the rambunctious nuisance keeps trying to pounce on my 15-year-old much smaller bones! The big galoot is more than twice my size, and when he pounces on me it hurts! Further, he can have Daddy and Katie all he wants, but he better get it through his head that Mommy is mine! All I want is to cuddle with Mommy in peace, and otherwise be left alone. I don't bother him at all except when he's trying to mooch time with MY Mommy! He can have the whole downstairs, all I want is my Mommy and my couch. I don't think that's so terrible at all. In fact, considering that I didn't want any more cats here at all, I think I've been pretty tolerant.

Now that sounds like an excellent idea! I do want to make sure he doesn't manage to get ride of that bell. When I hear it approaching, at least I can be ready for him if he tries to pounce me. It also helps me hear if he's trying to approach my Mommy.

Sometimes there's just no gettin' over on them femme fatals. I suggest you make your move when GrammaSharon iz in the human litterbox room. That's the only time I let the other kits give mom any attention.

I actually tried that once. GrandmaSharon came downstairs and headed in there, and Tinkerbell didn't SEEM to notice so I ran in there and jumped in her lap to give her hugs. Unfortunately, Tinkerbell did notice; she just didn't move as fast as I did. She pushed the door open while I was giving GrandmaSharon my hugs, and she made the she-devil noise. It starts as a growl and ends as an enraged mountain lion shriek. Not all of my furs made it out of the human litterpan with me. I do get occasional hugs in, though. Sometimes she sleeps more soundly.
