My parents' cat, Simba, who used to be mine, was probably born this week in 1996. When I got him, he was six weeks old, and when I counted backward, I pinpointed mid-August as his birthdate. I can't believe he's twelve years old already! He still acts like a kitten, with plenty of energy and playfulness. No creaky senior bones for him - yet!
