Best containers for Rack systems?

BryanR. Oct 14, 2003 11:12 PM

What are the easiest to find, and large enough containers to use for rack systems? I've been looking online at sweater boxes and stuff and have found alot of variations, Im beggining to think sweater boxes are too small. Whats a good size container, and where may I purchase them for a good price? Thanks!!

. . . and buy either rubbermade or Sterilte containers.

I use the 4 quart sized for babies/juvis. 12 quart for adults and sub-adults. The 28 quart sized are perfect for breeder groups. They can handle 1.3 with ease. You can hold more females in there - but you need to be careful and make sure you clean it a lot. After a lot of experimenting, I've come to the personal conclusion that 1.3 is enough. People can and do put more in - but I just choose not too, because it's easier for ME to keep clean. I don't think the leos could care less, though.

I also switched to paper towels in the racks - so much easier to clean.
