Sheepie Angel

MinnesnowtaKits Apr 30, 2011 07:33 PM

One of our sheepies, Haylo, has gone to the Rainbow Bridge tonite. The sheepies had their shearings this afternoon, and Dad checked them a coupla times afterwards and they was fine. Then Dad checked again about 4 hours after the shearings, and Haylo is gone. We dunno iffen her hart attacked her or somefing cuz of the stress or what, but Dad is feelin real bad. Haylo was 13 years old, so she was old, but had been doin fine. ::sigh:: Willow (her sisfur sheepie) is not gonna do well at all wifout Haylo ... they been togeffur since birf.

byebye, Haylo ... you really got a haylo now ...

Buh bye sweet Haylo....you sure will be missed by your fambly and frends. We furry sorry that your Mom and Dad and Willow is experiencing this loss. We sending lotsa heartfelt GLOW to help ease their sadness a bit.
Luff,
Riley and The Catnip Family
P.S. We curious, is this shearing always a stressful thing for the sheepies? Mom watches the shearing at the county fairs and the sheepies never seem stressed.

MinnesnowtaKits May 01, 2011 05:33 PM

Riley, no, it's not really a super stressful thing at all. They just don't like it so much on accounta the guy hasta get them to lay on the ground and hold them and they don't like it. It kinda like tryin to get mats out of or clip the claws of a kitty that really don't want it done. Kinda stressing, but not like they gonna have a life-alterin eggsperiense. They get it done effurry year. It just seemed like there mite be a connekshun since Haylo died about 3 hours after it was done, but she was fine a coupla hours after it. I dunno ... guess we won't know. Dad was with the sheepie guy when he sheared, and he sed Mr. Jim was not ruff or do anyfing diffrent than usual. ::sigh::
