Well, GrandmaSharon clipped her claws, and now she's out of the bathroom. We've looked each other in the eye, and even though she didn't growl or hiss at me, I got a bit nervous and ran. In the place where I was before I came here, there were 14 other cats and they all picked on me. Then when I came here, Tinkerbell she-devil used to beat me up every time I even looked at GrandmaSharon, so other cats are a bit scary for me. I have lots of fun playing with babykits, though. We noticed that BamBam is a bit scared of the shadows from the ceiling fans. It might be because with only one eye she doesn't have much depth perception. She will soon learn that they won't hurt her. Hopefully, she won't hurt me!

Hi, I'm BamBam. Thank you for the nice welcome. I think I am going to like it here. I already love my new Mommy. She just clipped my claws, and now my paws don't hurt so much. She got pretty mad, though, when she saw that some of my claws were so long that they got ingrown into my toe pads. She thinks that the people who were taking care of me before should have not let that happen.
It's nice being here with only one other cat. The place my new Mommy rescued me from had lots of cats. There were about 20 of us in a little cottage, and I had to defend myself a lot. The other cat here, I've seen him face to face but haven't really had a conversation with him because he ran away, seems pretty laid back, so I don't think I'll have to defend myself so much here. Who knows, maybe we'll even be friends some day. Right now, I'm a little freaked out by all the moving shadows around here. I'm not sure what reflections might try to get me, so I'm a little skittish. I did spend a little time on the couch with my new Mommy, though, and I love laying on her lap or snuggling over her shoulder. She knows all the best places for rubbing, and already does it perfectly.
So far, the only real down side to all this is that she told me that she's bringing me to meet the vet. Since the place she rescued me from doesn't seem to have taken care of me as well as expected, she wants to have me checked out. I do sneeze a lot, and have lots of yucky stuff coming out of my nose. The old place told Mommy that they took me to the vet and it's only allergies. I'm refusing to discuss the subject, and after seeing the condition of my claws, she's not taking their word for it and insists on making sure I'm really okay for herself. I guess it's nice to have someone care that much. I'm not used to that.

It was not very nice of that rescue place to let your claws get that long. Your poor pawkies must hurt a bit with your nails in them like that. You will like Cuddles too, once you get to know him. He's a nice kittyboy. Enjoy life in your new forever home!
