Cage size, and reptariums.

Hi, I have a few questions reguarding when to move growing panther to it's "adult" cage. But do female panthers require smaller cages when they're adults then males?, i have my female tamatave in a 18x18x30 screen cage right now. I am considering getting a reptarium, so it will be able to climb without claw damage. i do have a cat, but the cat seems more interested in the crickets than my cham.WHAT size reptarium would be good? or Would a repatarium be any good? I plan on getting a male for breeding purposes in a few months, and was thinking of getting the 175 gallon rept, for him(would this be bigg enuff?), would the same size be,"too" big for her? by the way, i was at ***smart the other day getting emergency crick's, and saw the reptariums for $133.00 for the 175 gallon one, i was at REPTILE DEPOT today see they have them for $72.99 . Which is prolly where i'll get 2 for 20 bucks more than what one would cost at the other place. Plus REPTILE DEPOT has a knowledgable staff, thats where i shop, peace....

I placed mine in 4X2X2 cages at 4 1/2 months. I use the same size cage for males and females but female can be housed in smaller. Can't remember the size you said but i beleive it was big enough.
As for reptariums, opinion varies on their positives and negatives. I used them in the past (i knew how to unzip them with snagging the screen).I liked the darkness of them as some species of chameleons stress easier than others.Cricket's can chew them if free roaming so you have to watch for that. I starting making my own cages (thanx Morgana) and can make it to fit my needs so no longer use them.
Here's a pic of 2 of my cages which i use pothos only..
By the way pic sucks as i had to degrade it to fit..

You are welcome!!
We are glad that you were able to make a pattern from the one we made for you. It's not that hard, once you get a decent design, eh?

Looking good.....

Cool, i think i may be building my own.I like how you have that bin in the bottom to catch water. I' have had a similar design in my head for collecting "dripped"water. Also afetr reading soem oher post's by reptarium users, i think i may pass on on, unless i need another cage for outside. Thanks for yur input. DAVE
