Mommy told us today that we are getting a visitor. About three years ago, a little tortie invaded her basement and had five kittens. Mommy found homes for all of them. Well, the baby calico girl that Mommy called Calli, is coming back. Her human has to move and can't take her. Her old family is going to take care of all of her supplies and find a new home for her, but she needs to be with Mommy for a while. I guess she stopped using litterboxes and needs to be retrained before anybody else would adopt her. She also needs to get more used to being around people. She liked Jen, her human, but always hid when anybody else came around. So Mommy is going to try to help her remember how to use the litterbox and get her used to being with people. She is going to stay in the upstairs bathroom away from us.

Awwww, poor Calli. We hope she adjusts well and learns how ot use the litterbox again. Maybe she should oughtta have a vet check just in case some made her not like the littebrox no more. You be nice to her now, Bambam. She gonna need a friend!

I don't think so. In fact, Jen hinted that if Mommy gets her retrained and she is able to find another place that allows kits, she might take her back. In any case, Daddy says that two permanent cats is enough.

If dis Callie has already come to your house, pweez be sure dat she haz been checked for UTI. So often, DAT iz da reason when kits don't use da box. Da pain causes dem to avoid da box, but dey hang near by and den accidents happen.

She has been at the vet regularly, and is going soon to be spayed. We're pretty sure it's not a UTI, though. She was living with another older cat that just went went wherever she felt like it instead of using the box, and then Calli started doing that too. Mommy told her family that since she's been at our house, she has used the litter box twice and not had any "accidents" on the floor. Mommy thinks it's just a matter of retraining.
