::Cap'n Larry comes out the front door of Clover Blossom Farm:: "My, what a nice day it is today," he says to the robin pikkin wormies outta the lawn. "Sammy was rite ... it's a grate weekend to have a crooze! We can have food and dansin and fun on the crooze, and then a bigg piknik afterwards!"

::Cap'n Larry trots on down to the Catnip Ribber. He hops onto the Snow Princess, and into his cap'n's chair. He starts the paddleboat up, and slowly manoovers it up Catnip Ribber towards Sammy's place. He sees the thruway to the new Nuthouse Ribber, and gently steers the bigg paddleboat that way. He sees that Pepper and Triller have built a new landing by the Nuthouse, and docks the boat there::

"Ahoy, mateys! Anybuddy around? Sammy, did you call effurry up to tell them to meet us here at your house fur the crooze? Tell them to hurry, and the fun will soon begin!"

::Cap'n Larry sits back in his chair, enjoyin the nice day, drinkin a cuppa catnip joe as he waits fur his passenjers and frends to arrive fur the crooze .....::

He sees that Pepper and Triller have built a new landing by the Nuthouse, and docks the boat there::

Riley and the gang arrive at the Nuthouse just in time to see Capt Larry docking the boat with Pepper's expurrt guidance. The Catnip Kits unload the metal monster.....fishing gear, bait, picnic baskets, snorkeling gear and a few extra picnic baskets for good measure....Riley doesn't like to be aboard ship without lots and lots of yummy stuff to eat. Of course he plans on catching a ton of fish for everyone too!

Him on heavy-duty, industrial-strength pain killers and every hope that Pepper do not become a drug addict when it all over wiff. Woe is him. All over again....

Yes, sadly, I am afraid this is troo. Poor me, Pepper. I weigh barely 6 or so pounds nowadays (down from a high of 13 or 14 pounds in my prime at the age of 7-10 years old some years ago)....I am now *only* 13 years old but time is running out for me at an alarming rate, I am sorry to say. I am a mere skin-and-bones skeleton with black thin fur. I take daily medicine to try and hold off the inevitable. We take it one day at a time and hope for the best and expect the worst. I eat quite well surprisingly enough. I have a very good apetite which is the good news part of this story but my heart is having to work so hard to pump the blood and my metabolism is shot. I burn lots of calories just keeping my hart going.

Another good news is that I continue to be very sociable, playful and affectionate and I am a happy kit no matter what. But it is masking a serious cardio-myopathy health condition (similar to what Lightning had; remember him??)....and my time is running out.

Please, please do not worry about me. I don't even deserve the glow as there are others who need it more; I am doing fine at the moment. I take my heart medication and another pill and I am not suffering or anything like that.

But I felt that since SammyWhee brought it up, that you all might want to know so it won't come as a surprise to you if something were to happen to me in the next few/several months.

Smooches to all of you. Don't worry about me. I am okay.

Tank Q to all of youse for the warm, kind messages and glow. So many other kits are in such worserer condition than mee, so don't spend a lot of time worrying about me. I doing not so badly other than being a shrinking kit. Mom-Joolie says that my body will soon be like holding a rolling pin-size and then down to a pencil-size, then down to a strand of dry spaghetti-size, then finally down to a strand of hair-size and then "POOF", I will disappear once and for all. I looking forward to it actually. I am thinking it might be fun to become like a stick figger kit!! Or not.

Mom-Joolie so sad about the kits who are displaced in Joplin, Missouri after that horrible tornado. They had a big huge semi-truck taking donations of all kinds (including pet food) pick-up this afternoon to be delivered tomorrow, so Mom-Julie bought quite a lot of dry cat food and gived it to them. It the least she could do, she thinks. She made a cash donation to The Joplin Missouri Humane Society last week and hope that will help as well. If any of youse have any spare change in your Moms' pocket books, will you go get it and mail it there? Their address is 140 E. Emperor Lane, Joplin, MO. I forgetted the zip code but it is on-line if you google it. Thank you so much. Every little bit has got to make a big difference to those peeple and pets.

I do remember that you tolded me about dear, sweet Madeleine Louise. I remember thinking too bad her first name wasn't "Jolie" or "Joliet" and then she would have been named after my very own Mom-Joolie whose *reel* name is:
Juliette Louise McIntosh. MOL But Maddylou is most certainly a bootiful name in of itself.

I was wunnering iz Maddylou engage, marry or odderwise attach? I ask not for myself, SURPRISE!! ~ as I am way too old and sickly now to be tinking of gitting marry to any buddy else. I got enough to think about being marry to wunnerful SammyWhee, but perhaps I would be able to carry Maddylou down the aisle when she do find a fine gentle-kit to marry.

I apologize if she already haff a hubbykit and I didn't know. Or if she is adopted by some udder kit in the Village, but maybe that fadder kit would allow me to share the responsibilities of giffing Maddylou away when her time of marriage come (??). I would be honored but on the odder paw, I do not want to take away the honor of her *reel* fadderkit.

And for the record, Poucette, you have been such a lovely friend to me for so many years. Your Auntie Minuet, er Minutter, er Mousetti, er... your aunt was so special to me and we knew each odder so well. But you, Pou, have a specialness because you share the same birthday, I believe, as my own Mom-Joolie ~ August 14.
