eye caps

kennny Oct 15, 2003 04:42 AM

hi my ball recently shed her skin but one of the eye caps (right) has stayed on with a circle of white skin around her eye. i've bathed her twice but this does not seem to help as i can see her trying to remove it in her tank. does anyone have a good advice for removing these with the least amount of stress to my snake?!

many thanks

Kenny

This is a technique that I read from one of my ball python books and it really works. I tried it on some rescued pythons with incomplete sheds.

Take a small peice of scoth tape. Lay it on the retained eyecap. Pull off very, and I mean gently. It should come of after a couple of times.

Well, I hope this works for you.
