Ok, now that I have my two rescue geckos in... (A New Jersey shelter was called in to rescue them from an abusive pet store situation that got shut down from what I understand, then I adopted them) The larger one has pretty much hid all the time. Their tank is right next to my bed (Put a barrier of reptile carpet piece to block light from their nocturnal lamp) so I could generally see who was active. The smaller one was great, would walk around. I had placed about 10 3/8" crickets in that evening, just to see if they would eat those. Although the smaller one was running around, she didn't eat anything. The larger one, however, is where I'm really concerned. She's been hiding in the larger, dry cave since 3PM yesterday, when they were put into their new home. She has displayed very little activity. When I had to move the the cave, I lifted it and she looked... grumpy. She moved around a little bit, not as fast as her smaller counterpart. (She's a nipper, likes to bite me... Rescue said her other sister did that too, but stopped after a week) When I put it back in after getting all the crickets out this morning, she slowly crept back. Is this normal first-day activity? If not I'll try to get her to the vet, but it'd have to be Friday or past then.
Also, for fecals, with two in a cage, how do I get fecals done? I can't tell whos is whos... Do they assume that its spread to both? or?
