IJ housing guestions inside

SnakeFreak Oct 15, 2003 07:31 AM

I'm building a rack and I'm probably going to use rubbermaids 2221 7 gallon tubs. They are 23" by 16" and are 6" high. The floor space is 368 square inches. The closest thing I can find to compare them to is a 20 long tank, which has a floor space of 360 square inches. Is the floor space enough for an IJ and if so, is 6 inches tall enough or should I use tubs with a height of 9 or 12 inches?

I use the 12" high tubs that have that floor space for my juvenile carpets. The higher cage allows me to put branches in it.
