Yes, dis storm Irene does wook to be a furry big monster. All ov Norf Catlina east ov I-95 iz on alert furr big efurryfing. Lots of people evacuated allready.

We iz in more of da interior ov da state and look to hav onwee rain & wind, and not too much ov eever. Ov course, dat can change, but we don't fink it too likely. Bendy lives maybe 10 miles frum us.

HOWEVER, and dis iz big to US, da Lady's deer #1 dautfurr iz in da Lady's house and 15 miles frumm da ocean, overhung wiv pine trees and da man dere duzn't want to leave. The good news iz dat da Lady's adult son will go and spend da duration wiv dem and he is younger and strong. They have laid in provisions for when there might be power outages.

He says, after all, those trees have held up for 38 years since dey came there in 1973, so should be dere right along. Which is true, da Lady weathered some big hurricanes right dere, wiv no damage to speak of. It iz unnerving when da pine cones rain down, like being under siege.

We hope the best for all who will be in the line of fire from dis storm.

We are more inland too, though we are expecting heavy rains and wind gusts over 50 miles per hour. Mommy's Pastor cancelled church for tomorrow morning. We are expecting some flash flooding and flooded rivers and creeks, but our house is up high enough that we don't have to worry about flooding. As long as we've got power, we'll be fine.

Awww, Franci dear, don't you wurry your littl eole head about us. They all so worried about nuffin' at all. It all cuz of how they messed up so bad with Katrina that they not wanna look bad again, so they makin' a big deal outta this one. Gloria back in '85 was much much worse and we surevived that one just fine. But don't fret cuz Mom gots everything we need ready to go "just in case". Our human sisfur hafta evacuate, so we gonna haf company tomorrow and Sunday but mom say if they try to evacuate us, she not leevin' no how no way.
