Feces and eating.

rugha Oct 15, 2003 08:47 AM

How should the feces of my snakes look? I am starting to wonder if something is wrong with my corns. They don't eat heartily on a regular basis. When they do eat, the meals consist of a couple of mice, and the large one will sometimes eat a med. rat.

The feces is never large and solid. Always small and watery.

Is this normal?

What kind of snakes are they? I assume they're big ones. Generally watery is bad for the brown bits. You can take a fecal sample to the vet to see if they have parasites, that might cause this sort of thing.

I SWEAR I read that 3 times and didn't see where it said corns! Yeah, that might be ok.

Yes, for corn snakes, that is pretty much the case. At least compared to the stool of a python, a dog, or us humans.
