Pictures from across the river

This is a news video of Mommy's old home town. Now we live just across the river from there, but we are uphill and the water didn't reach us. It is furry heartbreaking and Mommy is furry sad. The little coffee kiosk that she likes to go to for muffins floated away and crashed into a car. Both bridges between where we live now and West Pittston are closed. Our friends who have the nine cats live one block to the side from the dentist's office that is featured in this, and the water level is about the same there. The whole town is dark with no power. The only way to get there is by boat.

That's furry true. We saw a video on the news from a place called Tunkhannock, where Mommy used to go camping when she was young. It showed a house floating down the river. It hit a bridge on one side. The current was so strong it pushed the house right under the bridge, tearing off the roof. The house came through on the other side in pieces. For most of her life, Mommy lived in West Pittston. She just saw a picture of one of her favorite restaurants under water up to their awning. It's going to take a long time for this area to recover from this.

It furry upsetting to watch that video and see the things that is happening. We feel so bad for all the peeps what lost their homes and businesses. We worry about the animals what got caught in the flood waters. All we can do is send tons and tons of Glow to everyone there and purray for them all.

Yes, it is furry upsetting. We, too, are GLOWING and PRAYING for all who have been flooded. One of the ladies Mommy drives to church lives on the other side of the river. She is okay, but the bridges are still closed so Mommy can't get over there to pick her up.

Mommu's friend Lisa's house got the basement flooded and three feet of water on the first floor. They got to go there today to start pumping out water and start cleaning up. It will be hard and a lot of work, but they are hoping to be able to go home to stay in about a week or so. We still haven't been able to reach Susan and her family (the ones with nine cats). Mommy is hoping to see them tomorrow at church. We are pretty sure that their house got way more flooded than Lisa's. Fortunately, they are the only friends that got really flooded. Others also got evacuated, but the water didn't reach their houses. Thanks for all the GLOW, and please keep it coming. This will be a long recovery.

BamBam
