The end of a colony

PHCatnip Oct 11, 2011 06:16 PM

Yesterday mom and Aunty Ginny went to the state park to capture, Sheba. She a purrty tabby girl what have lived there for almost 9 years. Three weeks ago her last remaining kitty companion went to Rainbow Bridge cuz of complications from FIV. He was 14. Aunty Ginny wanna adopt Sheba but she can't do that until she finish chemo treatments. So Aunty Joan what runs the shelter mom volunteers at is gonna keep Sheba there in the "Safe Haven" purrogram until Aunty Ginny ready to adopt her....or if she not become tame enough, Aunty Joan gonna innerduce her to the shelter colony. Either way, she not gonna be alone no more and she gonna be safe. Aunty Ginny been feeding that park colony for 11 years, so now that there no more cats it kinda bittersweet for her. Mom and Aunty Giny will check the park from time to time to make sure no more kits is dumped there by stoopid humans again. Maybe some Glow to help Sheba adapt to inside living will help.

Dis is a furry bittersweet thing. It is a troo success result for the Trap Spay/Neuter Release pwogwams but it sad that it the end of the colony.

At any rate we think your mommy should be proud ob this successful ending.

Concatulations to a successful end of a stray/feral colony. Sheba, I has been out on my own, and in a house luffed in a family. I can tell you, in a house is better! It will be a little scary at first, but after a while, you will get to like it. You is lucky. You already got somebody who luffs you!

Purrs,

BamBam
happy to be a furry loved inside cat
