My vet visit

teganslaw Nov 01, 2011 04:58 PM

Star here. I went to the vet today for my annual rabies vaccine. I complained on the way there, but was furry good at the vet's office. Mommy said that Quentin could learn from me about manners since he was such a brat (Mommy's words) when he went.

Anyway, the vet is a little concerned because I lost three pounds in the past year. He said that it might be due to age (I'm 14), but Mommy should monitor my weight at home and watch how I eat and act. So far, I'm OK. He wants me to go back and be weighed again in six months. If I continue to lose more or act different, then I'll need tests to see if I have a thyroid problem or something like that. I don't show any symptoms of diabetes, so it's probably not that. Everything else was fine, just my weight loss could be a concern. He didn't think that it was necessary for me to have tests yet, have to wait and see.
That's all to report for now. I'll keep everyone updated on what happens.

Glad to hear you got a pretty good checkup at the vegetarian. Now that's quite a bit to lose in a year if you not on a diet. How about you eat up and don't lose no more!
