I'm not sure what Pampered Chef parties are for, but I like when Mommy has one! There's yummy food at those things. Mommy was furry hungry for what she called "a taste of Thanksgiving," so she picked a recipe called a chicken broccoli braid and changed it. She's going to teach me to demonstrate it for the next MCV cooking show.
First she got some turkey parts, two thighs and a half of a boneless breast, and roasted them (that's the yummy part, I got lots of treats), then chopped it into small pieces. She made some mashed sweet potatoes and some stuffing. She mixed all that together.
She used Pillsbury Recipe Creations crescent dough sheets to make the crust by putting them together on her bar pan, and pinching the edges together to make one sheet. Then she cut 1" strips on each side about a third of the way toward the middle, but left the middle third whole. She piled the turkey, stuffing and sweet potato mixture down the middle, then twisted the strips of dough together to make it look like a braid. She baked it until the dough was golden brown and all of her friends thought it was almost as good as I did. Of course, I just picked the turkey out, mol.
