The old boy (17!! and counting) is still going strong although he's at 10% kidney function. Happy and healthy, though, and deigning to snuggle in the mornings - but only because that's the way to guarantee his morning watering.

Holy Skunks and Cream Pie!!! Do we ever remember you, Sheriff Sam!!! The question is: Do you remember me?? I used to be your deputy!! And a very fine deputy I was, too, btw!!! MOL It sure iz great to hear from you! What a wonderful Xmas surprise.

I, too, am pretty much on my last legs and I am not nearly as elderly as you are. I am approximately 14 years old, if memory serves me right. Mom-Joolie doesn't keep good track of things like that ~ interestingly enough ~ but I am close to 14 years old one way or the other. I developed a heart condition in which the muscles of my hart are thickening and my hart has to be harder and faster to do the job of pumping my blud. I take daily medication for blud pressure but I am doing not-so-good nonetheless. I have lost so much weight I look like a sorry sack of bones with a black coat of fur draped over it and I stagger around and often stop in my tracks and just stare into space. But still I do eat well and like to spend hours lying in Mom-Joolie's warm lap. I don't appear to be in any pain so for now, I am hanging in there.

But enough about me and more about you? Where oh where on earth have you been all this time? We are over-joyed to see your post and view your sweet face on these hear boards!! Try to come back often and check in with us because we have missed you!

Sheriff Sam! Meowsers, it been a long time since we herd frum yu! So much has happened. You know dat Popoki went to da Bridge almost 4 yeers ago, rite? Well, I haff moved. In Decepurr 2009, I relocated frum Mew Jersey to Honolulu. I was not able to bwing Tita wiff me cause ob being in transition without a definite place to liff at dat time. So, Anty Connie frum Pepsicola purrswaded me to bwing Tita to liff wiff hur. I'll let hur tell yu aww dat has happened since then, but Tita is doing veby well still.
Oh, it is so good to heer frum yu and yur mommy. Yu must bwing us up to date on efuryfing dat been going on.

I remember Sam! Yay that you found us!

I lost Stanley and Pookey (you may recall them). Stanley passed away four years ago at the age of 16, Pookey November of last year at the age of 19.

It took a little over a year, but I am ready to have a kitty in my life again.

I just found out tonight that the adoption I put in Sunday for a new girl kitty (she'll be 4 this upcoming March) went thru at the Humane Society and I pick her up Saturday morning.

I am so glad you found your way back to us!

Hi Sheriff Sam! We weren't here yet when you were last here. You would probably remember Tinkerbell and Patches ZooCrew. They were the generation of ZooCrew kits who were here first.

My name is Cuddles. I came to live here last March. After Patches, the last of the ZooCrew Kits who liked the humankid, Katie, died, Tinkerbell was the only one left. Tinkerbell hated Katie because she was jealous of the attention MommySharon gave her. Katie tried very hard to make friends with Tinkerbell and was always very nice and gentle with her, but Tinkerbell just hated her and glared at her all the time and it made Katie very sad. MommySharon decided it would be nice to have a cat in the house that would like Katie. At that time, I and a bunch of my sibkits lost our family because of a foreclosure and I needed a home real fast or I was gonna have to go to a shelter. MommySharon, DaddyJim, and my MommyKatie came to see us, and we knew right away that I was supposed to be part of their family. Tinkerbell didn't care about me being there as long as I didn't come near MommySharon (she used to turn into a she-devil and try to kill me when I did). So I got to be the first of the new ZooCrew.

Hi, Sheriff Sam! I am BamBam. I adopted MommySharon after Tinkerbell had to go to the Bridge. MommySharon got furry depressed and cried all the time, because she didn't have a cat to cuddle with all the time anymore. Cuddles was Katie's cat, and she didn't want to steal him from her (he would have let her, but it would have hurt Katie's feelings). So on a furry happy day, MommySharon and Katie came to the animal sanctuary where I lived. MommySharon sat down on the floor of the cat cottage, where about 20 of us were roaming around. I recognized her right away as the person God made for me, and I climbed right into her lap and onto her chest where Tinkerbell used to live. Every time she tried to put me down, I followed her and climbed up again. When some of the other cats tried to come and meet her, I slapped them silly and told them to get lost because she was mine and I was keeping her. All the other people who used to come to the rescue didn't want me because I have a blind eye, joint problems, and sinus allergies that make me sneeze snot all over the place. I knew, though, that MommySharon would love me anyway so I adopted her. Now I have lots of new friends here. We are glad to meet you!
