There's a tree in our house!

Wow, there is a tree in our living room! Mommy said they were going to put one there, but I didn't believe her. Now there's pretty lights on it too. Mommy says she's very proud of us, because so far we are not bothering it. Cuddles and I like to chase each other around the platform under it though. Cuddles has seen one of these before, but I never lived with a family at Christmas time before, so this is pretty interesting.

Mommy also told me that tomorrow we get to meet her big humankid, Katie's sister Melanie. Katie told me that I will probably like her cuz she learned how to pet cats from Mommy and most cats like her. The only one who didn't was Tinkerbell, but that didn't count because she didn't like anybody except Mommy.

I think what I am most excited about, though, is the turkey that's defrosting and will be cooked tomorrow, MOL.

Dat's reely cool, to haff a tree in da house. I haff seed dems afore, but Maddy and Simi neber haff. Mommy say she LUFFS Kitmas trees, but she no had eben a minnitt to put ours up since stoopit final eggzams lasted til 5pm last nite fur her classes! She wud haff to chekk it out ennyways to see iffn mousies in da garage haff eated da wires.
So we no haff a tree, she no cud find ennybuddy selling reeths fur our front door, and da lites she hunged on da porch raling no work. We be bah humbug Skroogies dis year I gess.
Mommy gonna go to midnite (well, really 10:30) Eucharist tonite at St. Paul's in Dooloof. She allegedly a member ob St. Alban da Martyr which is a furry small church here in Sooperiur, but she fink dat St. Pauls will haff better mookik. (She still a waywurd member ob St. Michael's in Boise where she grewed up, fur dat matter.)
We wishing alla ours Meowchat frends who sellybrate it a furry Merry Kitmas. And to ours Jewish frends we wish a furry happy 4f day of Hanukkah.

I like the tree. It's furry pretty with lights and shiny balls and all kinds of stuff on it. Cuddles and I are both being furry good, though. Neither of us has bothered the tree at all. We do like to chase each other around the bottom.

Mommy had a big turkit dinner tonight. We each got our own little plate of turkit while the people were having their dinner. Mommy had some guests. One of them is Katie's sometimes babysitter who already knows me and Cuddles and likes us a lot. The other lady has not been around cats much. Cuddles didn't like her much, so he hid out in the bay window, but I liked her. I cuddled with her and played with her a little, and she thought I was adorable. She even told Mommy that if she didn't travel so much she would love to have a cat like me. I'll make a real cat lover out of her yet.

I also like Mommy's bigkid, Melanie. She pets pretty good.

I think I like this Christmas thing. Mommy says that tomorrow we're gonna celebrate Jesus' birthday with presents. I don't know why we get presents for somebody else's birthday, but that sure works for me, mol.

Them trees are lots of fun! Wait until your mom puts all the new kitty toys on it. They are loads of fun to bat off the tree and play soccer with. But your are right...the turkey si the best part of Christmas!
