Bast is our 15 year old meezer gurl, she haz asthma but all systyms checked out grayte dis summer. she iz a tuff gurl, we hopes she be tuff enuff.

"so tonite Jen found Bast in very very dire circumstances.
Despite it bein 9:30pm, and the clinic closed at 5:30, my wonderful vet was still at the clinic and said to bring Bast in.
My wonderful vet has offered to take Bast home with her and keep her. I think the next 24 hours will be critical so hopefully all the fluids and meds will kick in and she will start pulling out of this.
she has a massive URI and is "as dehydrated as a cat can get" (vet's words), low temperature. she has gotten Covenia (long acting antibiotic), fluids, b-vities, some food in a syringe, and a heating pad. vet checked her creatinine and said it actually isn't that bad, so at least we know Bast is not just shutting down.
Pam (the vet) said she would be back at the clinic Wednesday and could keep Bast until then. I am coming home Wednesday instead of friday.
