Snake urine?

iggygirl6 Oct 15, 2003 12:18 PM

Last night I was holding my female bp and all of a sudden, I looked down and she was excreting urates along with this clear liquid all over me. Pretty gross! LOL I'm used to that kind of thing though, because I have an iguana who has let go on me several times, yuck. The liquid that came from my bp is similar to the liquid that my iguana excretes, but I thought that snakes excreted dry urates, with no liquid. Please let me know, is this normal?

Snakes pass dry urates with a small amount of liquid. Your BP is perfectly normal.

Some of my critters can soak most of the bottom of their enclosure! I have also heard people say that if your Ball is well-hydrated, it will pass more liquid. They do have an amazing ability to conserve moisture, when needed.

its almost impossible o secrete a pure dry matter...especially urine. When it comes out (fresh urate matter) its white, kida chalky in the middle, and kind of wet/spongy on the outside. This is after 15 mins of finding it.
