Me and Triller was meowin' and neither of us can remember how GLOW originated. Was it somekit here what coined the phrase?

Riley, We askeded mommy an her meowed dat it were started to bes used in da ole ole AOL chats (we fink it were as likely to be da mommy chats dere as da meowchats), way bak afore da PCF lefted AOL. Cathy and Justin

Mommy was on AOL, VIN, PCF, CatHobbyist, maybe some others in the early dayz, and now this... She forgets all the version these boards have gone thru, but some of the people haf remained the same on all of them! She sayz glow has been round since she started in the late 90s on the forum. So has the rainbow bridge...

Yep, mom was in all those places too and remembers Glowing from way back. She just don't remember how she started Glowing.

I asked Mommy. She been with MeowChat since it was an AOL board, and GLOW was around even before she was. In fact, she thought that if anybody would know, it would be MommyDottie.

Actually, we don't know how Glow started either! It was alreddy around when we joined PCF on AOL in 97 or 98, so it was afore then. I guess it one of those fings that been around fureber, and somehow we just all 'know' what it is.

Back "in the day" (PCF while VIN owned it, before AOL "took" it over), mom started comin' to chats *gasp* goggie ones! It was used dere afor mom gotted dere...we not care where it comed from, so much as dat it wurks, an it free to gif, an to ask fur.

Dis haff nuttin' to do wiff the original question but I am so curious as to who (Mommy) is Cyclopsgrl is, pleeze. Because Mom-Joolie haff beened here all the time since it were AOL chat board, VIN, etc..too and do not know who Cyclopsgrl is...

This is Sparkle's Mommy, Tammy.

I have been around actively since 1998, always using Cyclopsgrl, but you may not recognize me as this is my first time posting on What's Mew Meeting Hall/Mew Chat forums. It never caught my eye until I adopted Sparkle.

I have always been primarily on the Cats Let People Talk/Chat forums, the General Forums, and the Senior Cat forums.

I had two brother cats (Stanley and Pookey) who were adopted from the same litter. Stanley passed away at age 16, Pookey passed away about a year and a half ago (November 2010) at the age of 19 . Up until last year, I checked the boards daily for years and participated, I slowed down some after the loss of Pookey for a few months as it was painful (but still posted), and am now back.

Since this is the most active board (about the only board with regular activity), I decided to hang out here. I am trying to do Mew Chat. Be patient, LOL! Sparkle is so cute, she inspires me.

I adopted her from the SPCA last month and she is about age 5 1/2 and had a VERY rough life. She received a clean bill of health from the vet last weekend after three weeks of antibiotics to fight bad infections. She may need dental work in the future, but so far so good.

On a side note, it is odd having a young cat on here. For years, I had the oldest cats and had gone thru all the Senior cat issues and common diseases.

When I started in 1998, S&P were 7 and everyone had new/young cats under age 3.

I recognize about 90% of the names on this forum from the other forums thru the years. The other forums on here have all but gone dormant, so I know this has to be a great place to be to stay so strong all these years.

With the change to Connected By Pets last year, I saw a lot of confusion on the other forums and believe many dropped off after many years as this format is the least friendly of all thru the years.

As yu see by my signature, I moved to Hawai'i frum NJ 2 yeers ago. Popoki, my first kit passed away in January of 08 and I couldn't bring Tita with me. So Connie frum Pensacola (now living in the Boise area) took her and luff hur like I would! That little gurl is a reel traveler, huh? MOL
