Grandma had the procedure today to freeze the tumor on her kitney. According to the humanvet, they had to freeze a bigger area than they expected, but the freezing procedure went very well. They had to go through layers of muscle, so she will have some pain for a while, and generally just feel sick and sore for a while, but they think that the procedure was successful and that within the next few months the tumor will dissolve away. All that will be confirmed with the follow up PET scan in six months. Hopefully at that time she will be cancer free!
