Meow all mine frends. Riley Catnip here. Just figured I'd stop in and meow about a few things.
Firstly, mom's hand/wrist is feelin' goot. The orthopedik doctor sticked that needle in her wrost and gived her a sticky shot there and so far so good. No pain. But sometimes when she lift me, she get a "twinge". She have the nerve to call me fat and say *I* hurting her wrist. Harumpf.
Dad's Unka Chris went to the human Bridge on Wednesday night. Him passed away peacefully in him sleep prolly from stroke or heart attack. Him lived in Fl so we din't get to see him in recent years but Dad meowed wiff him on the hellophone at Kitmas time and him was doin' goot. Anymeows, his son is flyin' him up to NY for the funeral which will be tomorrow, Tues & weds.
His other Unka Jim had heart surgery yesterday and also broked his back and is in a whole lotta pain. He be 83 yrs old and sure could use some Glow.
One of our favorite vet techs is leevin' next week to move to Bermuda and get meowried and take a mew job at the vet horspiddle there. She takin' her 4 kits wiff her in the big metal birdie (in the cabin! she makin a couple of trips back and forth to get them so they not go in cargo.) We gonna miss her furry much cuz she was always so good to us. I guess I gonna hafta train a new vet tech soon.
Mom and the ladies gots a few sicky foster & feral kits, so it's been kinda hectic for the humoms what with medicatshuns, fluids and testing. Mom sez they better figure out a way to make some more greenpapers cuz funds is furry low with all the sick ones. There be 2 kits what gots paw pad injuries from some razor/barbed wire near their colony. They doin' ok and things is healing. Mom and the feeder tryin' to think of some way to move this colony but the feeders hubby hasta be convinced that a small colony can live in his yard.
Then there beez Batgirl who gots funny bumpies all over her skin, so we waiting on a skin culture to see what she gots. And Princess, the new kit on the block, gots something called "pectus excavatum" which is a sunken chest wall. Dr B tooked x-rays today and her heart is not exactly the right shape or size either. So we tryin' to find a specialist what will work with the rescue funds to see what can be done. Maybe nothin since a lot of kits do okay with this condition, but we need to know exactly how bad her condition is. Dr B din't have no speerience with it, so he couldn't tell us much. A little Glow for her might help.
That's all. I'm hungry now.
Luff,
Riley
