This just gets more and more confusing! First of all, when Mommy had her x-rays done March 9th, they told her that she sprained her foot and there was nothing broken, but they found a sclerosis (lesion) on the bone of her ankle that wasn't related to her accident. They told her to get an MRI to identify the sclerosis, stay off her foot and keep it elevated and iced.
Then she had the MRI. After the MRI they told her she had two very inflamed tendons and a torn ligament in her foot, and that they still couldn't tell what the sclerosis was so she needed a 3-phase bone scan and an appointment with a foot specialist.
Now the bone scan says she has mild to moderate arthritis in both shoulders, moderate arthritis in both knees, and a stress fracture in her foot (the one that the x-rays tech said wasn't broken). The sclerosis wasn't even mentioned in the bone scan report!
Mommy sees the foot specialist on Thursday. She has to get a cd with the x-ray, the MRI and the bone scan for the foot specialist to look at. Hopefully, we will finally get some answers. Mommy also plans to tell the specialist that she needs some real pain relief too, because she can't really take time off from work and the foot HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
