Fanks youse for helping bring da situation wif Mommy to lite. I wanted to lets you knows dat me ‘n Mommy hab kum to an agweement on our owns. You see, I am not purrfect, eber. I nose, it kame as a total shok to mees, as well.

I likes to play wif da ansering machine. I hab messed it up a cuple times now. Ifn Mommy doesna wake up fast enough, I push da buttons on it making boop sounds to annoy hers. It weally is kwite annoying.

Well, once I shut it kompletely off. Mommy’s fwiends mentioned it, dey thot it was becuz it was during da election an errybody was calling and Mommy shut it off herself. Mommy checked da machine, an sur enuff, I turned it off.

Anober time, Mommy was watching TV early in da morning and I pushed da buttons to wakes hers up and recorded Mommy’s TV show she was watching (Clark Howard on CNN Headline Newz) an Mommy’s voice saying, “Sparkle, stop dat!” Mommy’s fwiends told hers again about it an Mommy had to re-record hers voice.

Sos, I am twying not to push da buttons sos much an Mommy is trying not to sing and dance sos much. It may works. However, I did forgotted and pushed da buttons dis morning. It is hard being a kitty who likes funny booping noises.

mhee luflufluf 2 pway wif buddons 2.... not eefun hafta makes noises.... wheesmom like 2 sweep wif teefee on (say hawlp wif nitemares) but mhee lufs 2 pushes them buttons when get bored in bed wif hurs .... eesh, she stop pettink mhee an fall sleep... sooo sumtimes mhee turn it up real loud.... giggle...
used 2 stop some of her recording shows.... but then she started moving that beep way out of reach... sigh....

Fank you Triller. I hadna thot ob da teevee remote. Gud idea! Rite now, Ise am hung up on da ansering machine buttons when I wants Mommy's attenshun. It is on da nitestand nexta da bed, sos it is really annoying to hers.

Congratulations, Sparkle! I'm glad things are working out. The demand letter I was working on was a long shot at best, so this is the best result.

Dis made da Lady & I laff, because it reminds us ov what I used to do, way back befurr we moved here.

Da Lady had a clockradio dat she kept on hurr bedside table. It waz long and narrow, about 3 inches by 8 1/2 inches and all da dials were on da top. Well, when it waz chilly, sometimes I would purrch on top. Yes, I know da hoomin body is warmer, but dis waz "my own" and did not wiggle, either.

Aneehow, sometimes, *I* would wiggle and change da button fingys so dat all ov a sudden, da radio would come on, LOUD. SOmehow, dat waz not da way da Lady wanted to wake up... pity...

Now, we hav a different bedside table and different stuff on it. When I do get on dere, to enjoy da lamplight, which is warm, den I purrrch on her small pile of reading stuff and leaflets. And when I get up, paper stuff flies. But, hey, I mean, SHE put it dere. What wuz I to do, lie on the floor?

Anuvver place I purrch sometimes, iz on da modem. It iz small, too, only 3 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches, but dat iz okay furr me, I am a small kit. But when I am dere, den it crowds da keyboard, because, I am not DAT small. I mean, gee, tough, I like da warrmth. Sometimes, she has to lifft up day keyboard and type tilted, KWIM?

See, how we make dem accommodate deir lives to us?

GTG Busy day, da Lady iz going out shortly and I hav to look out da window again.

MOL! That sounds like fun, Topaze! When mommy is inconveniently unavailable for me to lay on, or when she keeps coughing, I like to lay on the laptop to keep warm. Mommy likes that about as much as your mom likes it when you lay on the modem or when the alarm clock played loud music. I have a habit of stepping on the key that turns the internet connection off and then I lay across the pawboard.
